I am a small business owner who tries to be tactful in promoting my business. I have had bad experiences with pushy salesman/woman who seem to want to close the deal at any cost. How do I convince a customer go with my service without coming on to strong and turning them off?

Give them options and let them think they have got
Give them options and let them think they have got a good deal with you. If you give them options then they have a choice and you help them make the right choice at a fare price. Be relaxed but positive with them and don’t pressure them, just ask them questions and compliment them on some things. Give them a price and say think about it and follow up with them after a day or so. Promote what you have if you’re licensed and insured be sure to mention all this and direct them to any testimonials you may have like on your website or other literature...

Belief
I think you need to completely believe in your product first of all and believe the its the best in all. Then for sure you come across to your customers with full determination and confidence and they`ll have faith in you. Just remember that you and your product are the Best! ==========================
