Change: a Bad Thing or a Business Opportunity?

Change: a Bad Thing or a Business Opportunity?
I have stumbled upon this website at a time of great uncertainty for myself and possibly even greater uncertainty for this nation. Our new leader ran for office on the promise of change and while that premise has had positive connotations the harsher reality is that change can be a scary thing especially when it is forced upon us by difficult economic times; large corporate down-sizing, a corrupt housing market, etc. The fear is related to the unknown, the risk that we might be required to take, the additional effort that may be required of us, and the groundwork that would need to be established to begin something new. Being an innately positive person, I have tried to reframe this period of personal change into the easier-to-swallow concept of transition and even opportunity and the chance to do something I have always dreamed of. For me this is the concept of going into business for myself/starting my own business and having greater autonomy and responsibility for my own success. I have always toyed with interest in the various home service industries; landscaping, pool service, maid service, pest control, etc. It may very well be my time to look into buying service accounts and embarking on a quest to acquire and then trade routes in such a way that I am working smarter not harder and also contributing to the community of small business owners. Should I take this leap of faith; I look forward to utilizing this business broker website as a forum for connecting with small business owners. If you are someone who is already successfully established in this field, I hope you will actively post accounts to sell and trade and extend good fortune and opportunity to others. If you are someone like me, I hope you will use this forum to trade ideas and share new business advice.
Change CAN indeed be a good thing and a great opportunity. Good luck to us all!
