When you are in the route business, the important thing to place in your mind is that you are doing it to be of service rather than simply to provide service. In the cleaning routes, people value the things you can do after properly rendering the cleaning service and they may perhaps go as far as checking out and seeing how clean you are when it comes to cleaning route services. In short, it is all about going all the way to the last detail as they are bound to check the quality of service you have given, eventually becoming a proper measure of deciding if they would still call you for future services on their end.
So aside from thinking about the money, think about the cleaning program you have for your cleaning route. It is not as simple as soap and water. You have to come up with a program package to which interested parties would assess and evaluate if they will indeed require and avail of what you have to offer. The cleaning route program should be something unique and different that makes it different from the traditional cleaning methods anyone can do on their own.
You don’t have to be too technical about it. You can stress what materials you will be using, the method of cleaning and of course a “before and after” sample that is sure to solicit their interest. People are convinced more if they can see the output and for your first couple of customers, it would be wise to seek their permission to become sample models for business purposes. Do not force them though as some people want their privacy. Just ask nicely and see who will allow you to make them models for your work.
Lastly, your work will be your signature. Always remember that you are in business to make a statement. This does not only mean you are catering to the people who have put their faith in your work. Always make it a point to bring up your level of output up a notch. Your cleaning route output will be your signature and eventually be the reason for making you stand out above the rest.
